New Year On Tour

Another new year is upon us. In this festive season, Shen Yun performers have already dived into busy tour schedules. So where are they celebrating their New Year’s Eve?

Ms. Chia-Chi Lin, conductor of the Shen Yun International Company told us: “This year, our company will be spending New Year’s in Seattle. On the first we are not scheduled for a show, but we will be performing starting on the second.”

“We've prepared a good half-year for this year’s programs, and we’re very excited to bring our best to the audience, and give them a wonderful season’s greeting.”

Presenter Yang Song:

“The weather hasn’t been too great these past few days. There’s been a blizzard, so the road has been very difficult, but everyone has been positive and upbeat. No matter what difficulties we encounter, we help each other through everything. We all know that we’re not doing these things for ourselves, but for a more extraordinary purpose. That’s why we really treasure the time we have together.”

Rocky Liao, principal dancer for Shen Yun New York Company:

“I find it interesting to drive from one coast of the U.S. to the other, because we get a chance to see many subcultures as we stop throughout the U.S. This reminds me of how our dances come from different regions and cultures within China. You see this in the U.S. as well, with the many different types of food and favorite activities in different regions.”

The members of Shen Yun Performing Arts aren’t able to celebrate the holidays at home with their loved ones, but they have found different joys while on tour.

The Conductor adds, “with Shen Yun’s arrival we wish to present the best New Year’s gift. I hope nobody will miss this chance!”

In this New Year, Shen Yun Performing Arts wishes everyone a happy New Year, great health, and prosperity; a year of fulfillment and joy!
